What should I do about right abdominal pain that might be gallbladder?
#1
I’ve been dealing with this persistent, dull ache in my upper right abdomen for a few months now, and my doctor mentioned it could be related to my gallbladder. The pain seems to come and go, sometimes flaring up after I eat something fatty, but it’s never been the severe attack I’ve read about. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this kind of ongoing discomfort instead of sudden, intense episodes.

Yep, I’ve lived with a dull ache up high on the right for months too. It tends to flare after I eat fatty stuff and then settle into a steady ache that’s never gone completely away. My doctor said it could be gallbladder related, and I’ve been trying to pin down if it’s the food or something else. I even had an ultrasound scheduled but I’m still waiting on results.

Mine started as a nagging ache that would pop up here and there, not a full blown attack. Some weeks it would feel worse after a big meal, other days it barely showed up. I tried cutting out dairy for a while and it seemed to ease a bit, but it came back anyway. Also, I started noticing my sleep got worse during those weeks, which felt like a different mess, and I couldn’t tell if that mattered.

Could it be something else entirely, like indigestion or stress, and not the issue I worry about at all?

I started keeping a simple log—what I ate, approximate pain level, and the time it showed up. After a month I noticed more pattern around fatty meals, but it wasn’t perfect and I didn’t feel ready to jump to conclusions yet.
