What should i do if my phone heats up on wireless car charging?

In my work as a high school counselor, I see patterns in parenting mistakes to avoid that can damage parent-teen relationships. Some well-intentioned parenting strategies actually backfire during the adolescent years.

What raising teens advice have you learned through experience that you wish you knew earlier? I'm particularly interested in parenting challenges solutions that preserve connection while allowing appropriate independence.

From what I've observed, some of the most damaging parenting mistakes involve communication breakdowns and power struggles. What parenting expert advice have you found most helpful for navigating these years successfully? How do you provide parenting support community for your teen while also setting necessary boundaries?

Parenting mistakes to avoid with teenagers that I'm trying to remember as my oldest approaches those years include not dismissing their emotions as just hormones" and not comparing them to their peers.

The raising teens advice I'm collecting focuses on respecting their growing independence while maintaining connection. It's a delicate balance, and the parenting challenges solutions probably need to be customized for each kid and situation.

One parenting mistake to avoid that I learned the hard way is trying to solve all their problems. Teens need to develop problem-solving skills, and sometimes the best parenting guidance is asking good questions rather than providing answers.

The parenting support community for teens should include other trusted adults they can talk to, not just parents. That takes pressure off the parent-teen relationship and gives them multiple perspectives.

I just got a new car with a wireless charging pad, but my phone gets uncomfortably hot every time I use it. Is this normal, or could it be damaging the battery? I notice it charges slower when it’s warm like that.

Yeah mine does the same in the new car. It warms but I’ve never burned it. If the phone stays only warm and it slows the charge, that happens sometimes.

Is it normal for a phone to get that hot while charging in the car, or should I be worried?

I tried taking it out of a bulky case, kept the pad centered, and the heat dropped a bit and charging stayed fairly steady.

I wonder if the car's climate or the seat heat is making it worse; one day it felt like it was roasting and I gave up and used wired.

I also noticed if it’s hot the pad charges slower, which is annoying when you’re trying to top it up before a drive.

It could just be normal, or maybe the pad is malfunctioning; either way I wouldn’t ignore it if it’s uncomfortably hot.
