What should I do with crafting mats after the new season patch notes?

I just saw the patch notes for the new season and the changes to the crafting system seem really confusing. I’m not sure if I should start hoarding my current materials or just use them all up before the patch drops next week.

I’m not crafting much right now and I’m just hoarding materials. The patch notes read vague to me and I don’t want to burn through stuff if prices swing or recipes move around. Stacked the mats I actually use and left the rest in storage.

I tested a couple of items yesterday to see what changed. Costs looked inconsistent—same mats, different results in a row—and I scrapped the run and kept the rest.

Is the real problem maybe that the issue isn’t the patch itself but that we’re not understanding how the new system links to existing mats?

I started organizing my inventory, counted space, then got distracted by an old recipe and forgot what I was doing. Still, the patch looms and I’m curious but not sure what to do next.
