What should i main now to fit the meta and still impact the team?

I just got absolutely stomped in my last few matches and I'm starting to think my usual main is holding me back. The meta feels like it's shifted towards characters with more team utility, and I'm struggling to have the same impact when I just focus on my own stats.

It could be the problem is not the hero at all I am not sure but could the issue be how you and the team exchange info rather than the pick?
