What should i pick: disc version or digital for PS5?
#1
I just got a PS5 and I'm trying to decide if I should buy the disc version games or stick with digital. I like having the case on my shelf, but the convenience of not swapping discs is really tempting, especially with how fast the SSD is. I'm just worried about locking myself into one storefront for pricing.

Disc version wins for me on display value. I like the case on the shelf and I can trade or resell later if I want. These days I still buy mostly digital but discs are a nice reminder of what I own.

Digital is ridiculously fast. I can boot into a game before I even sit down. The downside is price reliability and being locked to the PS Store deals. If you care about price you might want to wait for sales rather than assume a digital discount.

I do a mix big day one titles on physical copies for resale value and indies digital to avoid extra plastic and shipping delays. The SSD helps either way though there are still big install sizes.

Sometimes I drift and wonder if the problem is storage or habit. I keep thinking about how a tiny display would look in my living room then I remember the couch and I just play anyway.
