I just finished my first playthrough of Disco Elysium and I'm honestly a bit lost on what to play next. That game's unique blend of RPG mechanics and its totally conversation-driven detective work has completely rewired my expectations, and now everything else feels shallow by comparison.

I felt the same after finishing Disco Elysium. The talky detective vibe pulled me into a fog and nothing else felt urgent. I half finished a couple of other story heavy rpgs and kept coming back to the idea that dialogue is currency.

I tried Planescape Torment and Pillars of Eternity and Witcher 3 and a few indie story games. Some scenes clicked and some felt flat after the weight of the first run. I kept a note of lines I wished I had written. It helped me reset the bar for what good writing feels like.

Do you want something closer in vibe or something that flips the approach entirely while still offering sharp writing and messy characters?

I am not sure if the problem is the format or my own fatigue from chasing a similar mood. I jumped into a few action heavy games but kept missing the through thread and I wonder if the itch is the detective angle or the world building. I am still figuring it out
