What should i think of this space horror trailer, smart or just dumb fun?

I just watched the new trailer for that space horror movie and I’m genuinely torn. The practical effects look incredible and genuinely frightening, but the quick cuts also showed what might be a very generic monster design in the third act. I can’t decide if the trailer is hiding a smarter film or if it’s showing me exactly the dumb fun I’m worried it will be.

I watched the trailer twice in a row and the practical effects stuck with me. The ship interiors look real enough you could almost feel the metal, and the way light flickers in the vents was gripping. The quick cuts still sprint past, but there were moments where the environment did the scare work rather than a jump scare.

The creature design in the third act felt a little too familiar — ribbed armor, glowy eyes, the standard claw sweep. It lands the punch, sure, but it reads like they needed a big bad to frame the set pieces.

Do you think the trailer is hinting at a smarter setup or is it just misdirection?

I went in with caution and came out with more questions than answers. The vibe was strong, the action loud, but I keep second guessing whether I should chase it in the theater or wait for more footage to decide.
