What should i trust more, sleep data or how i feel in the morning?

I’ve been tracking my sleep with a wearable for months, and my deep sleep duration looks decent, but I still wake up feeling completely unrestored. Has anyone else found that their sleep architecture data doesn’t match their actual feeling of recovery in the morning? I’m wondering if I’m missing something the numbers aren’t showing.

I got something similar. The deep sleep numbers looked decent, but I woke up feeling wrecked anyway. I fiddled with a stricter wind‑down routine, dim lights, no screens after 9, and cut caffeine after noon for a couple weeks. Sometimes I felt a touch better, but not consistently.

I tried another wearable and looked at HRV and the timing of awakenings. I cut caffeine and fixed a regular bedtime window for a week, but the grogginess kept showing up some mornings.

Not sure I know what the real issue is. Maybe it's circadian misalignment, or stress, or the environment, or just how the tracker measures rest.

Do you think the issue is the numbers or something in your waking environment?
