What sparked Picasso's shift from Blue to Rose Period in his palette?

I’m trying to understand the shift in Picasso’s work from the Blue Period to his Rose Period, but I’m stuck on what specifically prompted the change in his palette and subjects. Was it purely his personal circumstances, or did the formal artistic concerns of color theory and composition play a bigger role than I’m giving credit for?

That shift felt grounded in life not a tidy theory The blue gloom gave way to warmer light and more playful scenes like circus types and harlequins which came along with new friends and a calmer mood

I think both strands mattered The color theory stuff about how warm pinks and oranges bounce light could explain some of it but it also came with changes in his circle of sitters and a new studio light

Was the switch really about his personal life or could it be that the painterly choices were pushing him toward different problems?

One memory from a gallery visit stuck with me the paintings from the rose period look more intimate the poses a touch more humorous Yet the melancholy peeks through as if the change was a balance not a break
