What turns motivation into a regular exercise habit?
#1
I’ve been trying to get back into a regular exercise routine, but I keep hitting a wall after a couple of weeks. My motivation just evaporates, even though I know I feel better when I stick with it. I’m curious if others have found a way to make that initial discipline turn into something that feels more automatic.

I get that wall. I started with tiny steps—five minutes after work, same spot, same shoes. It felt silly at first, but after a couple weeks I didn’t have to talk myself into it as hard.

I kept a tiny log for a month: what I did, how long, and how I felt. Not fancy metrics, just a string of days. Seeing a little streak happen made the next day easier.

Pairing it with something you already do helps. I added a jog right after I brew coffee in the morning, so the coffee cue triggers the run. Not elegant, just a rhythm that repeats.

Could it be that the problem isn’t motivation at all, but whether the goal feels worth the effort day after day?
