What version of the Pride and Prejudice main title theme has a full orchestra?

I’ve been trying to find the specific version of the main title theme from the 1995 *Pride and Prejudice* miniseries that has a full, sweeping orchestral sound, but every recording I find seems thinner, like it’s missing the string section I remember.

I chased this too. The version with the full orchestra shows up on the official soundtrack release. On that CD the strings feel lush and the whole thing stages a big sweep. The broadcast and some streaming copies feel thinner, probably from mastering and the room reverb getting shaved in the transfer.

I had a friend who swore the same thing: the strings vanish on many online copies because they’re from a TV stereo mix, not the concert-grade track. It makes it sound like the heart of the piece is missing.

I tinkered by comparing a few rips, and I think the tempo differs as well. The main title on the soundtrack sits a touch slower, which makes the crescendos land firmer. In faster trims, the chorales feel lighter even if the notes are identical.

One question for you: when you say full orchestral sound, do you mean the precise moment when the strings swell, or the entire opening rhythm from the first note?
