What vibe did you get from the space horror trailer: creepy or jump scares?

I just saw the trailer for that new space horror movie, and I’m honestly torn. The practical effects for the alien look incredible and genuinely unsettling, but I’m worried the whole thing might just be another jump-scare fest in a spaceship corridor. Has anyone else gotten that vibe from the previews, or does it seem like it might actually build a creepier kind of tension?

I’m with you. The practical effects look brutal in the trailer, but there are a lot of fast cuts that feel like jump scares in a hallway. If they let the quiet scenes breathe and actually use the alien more as a presence than a hit, it could still land as real dread.

Same vibe here. I rewatched the trailer a couple times, paying attention to sound and pacing. The tension might hinge on isolation and what we don’t see, not just the creature popping up every minute.

Is the real problem the marketing or the script? Maybe the trailer’s emphasis on the creature is masking a thinner setup that wouldn’t carry the whole movie.

Not sure if this helps, but I oddly remember the theater smell and that creak of the seat more than any specific shot. If the sound design stays strong and they lean into slow burn, I’d be more curious than scared—still no guarantee.
