What visual cue am I missing to parry the boss's overhead slam?

I just can't seem to get the timing right for the parry in the final boss's second phase. I practiced on the earlier knights for hours, but his combo feels completely different and my guard just breaks every time. Is there a specific visual cue I'm missing right before his overhead slam?

I spent hours on it too and the second phase did feel like a totally different fight. I stopped chasing the exact frame you can parry on in the knights and started watching his body language. The moment he tightens his core and shifts weight to the back leg, the overhead swing feels telegraphed and I get a rhythm where I press guard just as the arm whips forward. If I jump the gun I eat the hit, if I wait a beat I can grab the parry but it still isn’t consistent.

What helped me a bit was not trying to parry the first big swing but using the post swing window to reset. I’d block the hit, chain into a light punish, and gradually my timing felt less fragile during the rest of the phase. It wasn’t perfect, but the panic faded some.

Did you ever try slowing down and letting one swing land before you reset? I kept wondering if the window was real or just my nerves.

Sometimes it felt like the problem wasn’t the timing but that my thumbs trembled and I mistimed the guard reset. I started focusing on posture and I still failed more than half the time.
