What wind-up cue should I watch to dodge the arena shockwave?
#1
I’m stuck on the final boss of the new expansion because I can’t seem to dodge the arena-wide shockwave attack consistently. I’ve watched a few videos, but they all just say to watch for the visual cue, and I swear my timing is right, but I still get hit about half the time. Is there something specific about the character’s wind-up animation I should be looking for instead?

I stuck to the cue like clockwork and kept getting popped too. Then I started looking for a tiny shift in the boss body before the shockwave and noticed a barely there shoulder tilt and a micro step. I switched to a closer camera and tried to dodge a touch earlier, about a quarter to a half second before the wave, and it finally felt safer.

In my run we tried a mapped rhythm and still it was around half misses. The only thing that helped was slowing down and giving the team more time to react after the wind up, not just dodging the spike but moving to a safer area of the arena.

Could it be that the problem is not the dodge at all but the run being too short for the healers to catch up?

I kept thinking the same was on me until a friend mentioned the screen shake can mask the cue. I tried turning off motion blur and then watched the boss legs tilt a bit before the blast and it helped a little for one night.
