Why am i losing interest in my hobbies and how can i rekindle them?

I’ve been noticing lately that I’m just not getting the same enjoyment from my usual hobbies, like gaming or even just hanging out online. It’s not exactly boredom, more like a flat feeling where nothing really sparks interest, and I’m wondering if anyone else has hit a similar patch.

Yeah, I’ve been there. After a stretch of binge gaming I woke up one weekend with that flat, nothing-matters vibe. I paused most of it for a week, kept a tiny log of anything that felt okay—even a 10 minute walk or a chat with a friend. A few days later the next game opened up a little, not with the same rush, but it came back in small, slower pieces.

I tried turning it into a routine with tiny bets. 15 to 20 minutes of something I like, no pressure to perform, then stop if I didn’t feel it. I tracked how I felt after each session. After two weeks the start-up stress eased, but the glow didn’t come back—still, it was possible to show up without cringing at myself.

Could it be burnout or something else? Have you checked sleep, mood, and routine lately?

One afternoon I found myself cleaning the desk and organizing cables, and I ended up taking a short walk outside. The mood loosened a bit and I came back to a game with less pressure. Not a fix, but it reminded me mood and environment matter more than the exact game.
