Why am I spotted during office infiltration for the Ghost achievement?

I’m trying to get the “Ghost” achievement in my survival run, which means no alerts at all, but I keep getting spotted during the office infiltration in mission four. I’ve watched a few stealth playthroughs and they seem to move through the cubicles differently, so I’m wondering if the detection logic for the guards in that room is just really strict, or if I’m missing a specific patrol timing.

I tried for the Ghost achievement last week and the office in mission four felt like the guards had a built in spidey sense. Even hugging the back wall I still got spotted if I took a wrong step when the patrols shifted. It was less about timing and more like a hard cap on how quiet you can be in that room.

The patrols looked to wander a bit, not a strict loop you can memorize. I saw a guard pause by a cubicle cluster for a second and I swear a second later the sight cone snapped to me even though I stayed in the shade.

I did a run where I waited through three cycles, then tried a slow crawl along the edge. It felt like a game where a tiny misalignment between camera angle, light, and guard head position would ruin you. I never got past the first few meters without an alert.

Do you think the problem is the AI or could it be the room lighting and audio cues throwing you off more than you expect?
