Why am I stuck in an echo chamber and how can I diversify my feed?

I’ve noticed my timeline is just an echo chamber of my own opinions lately. Every post, article, and video recommended to me feels like it’s coming from the same narrow corner of the internet, and I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing out on other perspectives because of it.

Yeah, I’ve noticed it too. It feels like my feed is whispering the same opinions back at me. I tried following a few creators from way outside my circle, not famous people, just different angles. The first few posts felt clunky and out of sync, but after a while I started catching tiny bits of nuance I’d missed before.

I keep thinking it’s me wanting validation more than the platform. I click what’s familiar, and then I wonder why I’m not seeing anything new. Hard to tell if I’m steering the ship or the ship’s steering me.

I did try muting topics for a week and scrolled more aimlessly to mix things up. Do you think the real problem is the feed itself or my own engagement habits turning into a filter bubble?

Another tiny move I made was listening to a long interview from someone I’d never heard of, just to hear how they frame a point. It didn’t change everything, but it reminded me other voices exist. Then I found myself slipping back into the same feed, which was annoying and comforting at once.
