Why are 1% lows still happening with my 4070 super in cyberpunk?

I just upgraded to a 4070 Super expecting a huge boost, but my 1% lows in Cyberpunk still feel pretty rough during heavy combat. I’m running everything on high with ray tracing and frame gen on, but those sudden hitches are really noticeable. I’m not sure if it’s a driver thing, a specific setting causing it, or if my older CPU is starting to hold things back.

Yeah I went with a 4070 Super too and those 1% lows in Cyberpunk during heavy combat still show up. I have RT on and frame gen on, maxed settings, and the stutter comes in when things spike. Not every run, but it’s there enough to notice.

From my experience the CPU can be the bottleneck here even with a new GPU. Old CPU, the GPU has headroom but the game scheduler sometimes hiccups during busy scenes. I lowered a couple RT settings and tried turning frame gen off for a session, and the lows got a little better but it never vanished.

Driver fiddling didn’t fix it for me either. I did a clean reinstall, tried a few driver versions, even a beta, and the 1% lows kept wandering. Maybe Windows texture caching or background tasks were nudging things, or maybe the game is just twitchy under load.
