Why are paparazzi getting so aggressive at premieres lately?

Has anyone else noticed how much more aggressive the paparazzi have gotten around certain A-list entrances lately? I was trying to get a coffee near a hotel where a big premiere after-party was happening, and the crowd of photographers literally blocked the sidewalk and shoved people. It felt way more intense than it did even a year ago.

I was there last week outside that hotel and yeah, the paparazzi were unreal. They blocked the sidewalk, shoved people toward the street, and it felt like something could go wrong at any moment.

I stood back by the entrance, counted the seconds between pushes, and kept inching toward the corner when someone bumped me into a planter. I left after five minutes.

Part of me wonders if it’s really more aggressive or if I’m just noticing it more because of feeds and clips. It could be the same level as always, just louder online.
