Why do I feel something stuck in my throat for weeks with normal exams?

I’ve had this persistent feeling of something stuck in my throat for over a month now, but my doctor didn’t see any swelling or blockage during a basic exam. It’s not painful, just this constant annoying sensation that makes me want to clear my throat all the time, and it’s starting to worry me.

That sounds really annoying. I had something similar once after a cold, and even though my doctor said nothing obvious showed up, it lingered for weeks. I kept clearing my throat and felt like something was stuck, and it wore me down.

For me the thing that helped a bit was fixing dry air issues and watching reflux triggers. I started using a humidifier at night, drank more water, and tried to avoid late heavy meals. It shifted a little, but it didn’t disappear.

Could it be anxiety or stress playing a bigger role here?

I kept a simple symptom diary and brought it to the next appointment; noting meals, sleep, and throat symptoms helped me see patterns and gave me something concrete to talk about.
