Why do I keep switching teams in VCT Pacific based on hot streaks?

I’m trying to decide which team to support in the VCT Pacific league, but I keep switching between them based on who’s on a hot streak. Does anyone else feel like their loyalty is just tied to the current meta and roster changes?

Yeah I get that. I found myself rooting for a team when their players hit a great clutch moment, then switching when the meta shifted and their lineups changed. It felt less like loyalty and more like chasing the latest highlight reel.

I tried setting a rule to pick one team and ride it out for a full split, no switching unless they were out of playoffs. I tracked roster moves and win rates in clutch matches, hoping to see a real pattern. Ended up sticking with one team longer but still got burned when a key player moved.

Sometimes I wonder if the real problem is the hype around hot streaks, like a narrative goes viral and we ride it too far. I’ll watch a few games and feel pulled back to something else, then snap back to reality and wonder what I even want from a 'favored' squad.
