Why do my group chat message timing and phrasing get ignored?
#1
I’ve noticed that when I’m in a group chat, my messages often get completely overlooked until someone else says the same thing later. It makes me wonder if the way I phrase things or the timing just doesn’t fit the flow, and it’s starting to make me hesitant to contribute at all.

I started paying attention to how fast people reply after I post and noticed mine often get buried in busy moments. I experimented with a shorter line and then a quick follow up after a minute, and it helped a bit, though not every time.

I tried tagging a specific person at the end to pull focus, but it came off as pushy and mostly got ignored along with everything else. I dropped that tactic.

Do you think the real problem is the pace of the room or the topics people bring up and not what I say?

Sometimes I get a jumble of ideas and I just pause, and later someone says the same thing and everyone nods as if it came from them. That makes it feel pointless to push through.
