I was trying to show my kids the old Saturday morning cartoon I loved, but when I found it, the animation just looked so cheap and choppy. It really took me out of the moment, and I couldn't get past it to enjoy the story. Has anyone else had a cherished show from back in the day not hold up visually at all?

I had a cartoon I loved as a kid and when I watched it again the animation looked choppy and cheap and it broke the moment.

My kid asked why the characters moved like that and we ended up talking about the budget and the time crunch behind the old shows.

I tried watching in a darker room and with a bigger TV and it helped a little but the look still pulled me out.

Do you think the real problem is the show or our taste changing over time?
