Why do posts end up in the wrong section and how can we fix the categories?

I’ve noticed a few threads lately that seem to be posted in the wrong sections, like technical support questions appearing in Forum Feedback. It makes me wonder if our category descriptions are clear enough, or if the navigation could use some improvement to help people post in the right place from the start.

Yep, I’ve noticed that too. A few times I started typing a tech support question in Forum Feedback and only caught it when I hit Post. The labels feel similar and the menu structure blends together when I’m in a hurry. We tested a small change by bumping a clarifying line under the post form and moving one category, and it did feel a little better to me.

I’m usually rushing to finish something and click the first relevant looking tab. Not sure if it’s the descriptions or the layout, but misposts happen more than I’d like.

I once dug into the navigation to find where to post a single simple question and ended up wandering through three sections. It felt like the stuff I needed was logically there, just buried under a couple of clicks. Maybe a quick path from the home page to the main categories would help.

Do you think the problem is people misreading the descriptions, or is the real issue the navigation flow itself making people bounce between sections?
