Why do risky stunts like this go viral and spark backlash?
#1
I was scrolling through my feed and saw a video of a guy calmly fixing a flat tire while his car is half-submerged in floodwater. It’s getting millions of views, but I can’t tell if this is genuine resilience or just a dangerously stupid stunt for clout. What makes something like this blow up?

Sometimes it is the mix of danger and skill that grabs people. A calm fix in a risky setting feels like a small dare and people stop scrolling to watch. The algorithm loves emotion and this hits fear awe and admiration all at once.

I watched something similar once. It blew up because the scene is mismatched with the setting. A composed repair under water has high stakes, the clip is short, the sound is punchy. I doubt most viewers thought much about safety.

I think it is more about a snapshot that checks boxes danger skill immediacy. I tried a calm fix and ended up soaked and no views so maybe luck.

Do you think it is real or staged for clout?
