Why does deep sleep look good on my tracker but i still feel tired?
#1
I’ve been tracking my sleep with a wearable for months, and I’m confused because my deep sleep duration looks great on paper, but I still wake up feeling completely drained. The data says one thing, but my actual energy levels throughout the morning tell a very different story. I’m starting to wonder if the metric I’m focusing on is even the right one to pay attention to.

That resonates. I chased the deep sleep line on my tracker for months too, and I still woke up foggy. Sometimes the energy tank felt emptier even when the chart looked good. I started paying attention to how I felt in the first hour after waking, not just the midnight numbers.

I tried keeping a simple morning energy diary for two weeks and also tracked caffeine timing and late screen use. The pattern that stuck was nights with a later bedtime and lots of scrolling left me groggy no matter what the sleep stage readout said.

Maybe the metric isn't the real issue. Stress, dehydration, or a noisy room can steal energy, even after a 'good' night.

Could be the device misreads something, or maybe the energy dip comes from daytime habits rather than the night itself. It's hard to pin down.

I drifted into thinking the numbers told the whole story, then wandered into lighting, air quality, even pillow height. Came back to sleep and felt off again, which made me doubt the whole setup.

Mine felt the same, and I ended up letting the graphs go and just listening to how I felt.

Have you tried going a full week without the wearable to see if you notice any difference in how you feel?
