Why does my sleep tracker show good deep sleep but i still feel unrested?

I’ve been tracking my sleep with a wearable for months, and my deep sleep duration looks decent, but I still wake up feeling completely unrestored. Has anyone else found that the numbers on their sleep tracker don’t match how they actually feel in the morning? I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing something about sleep quality that the device isn’t capturing.

Yeah I’ve seen that too. The numbers on my tracker say I’m getting deep sleep, but I wake up foggy anyway. I tried changing my wind‑down routine and I cut caffeine after noon, but the next morning still feels off.

I started paying attention to how I feel all day, not just at wakeup. Sometimes the tracker shows solid sleep after a stressful day, and I still feel wrecked. Makes me wonder if stress or daylight exposure are the real culprits behind the mornings.

I did a small experiment: kept the same bedtime for a week, but nudged wake time earlier by 15 minutes and skipped naps. The numbers barely moved, but some mornings I felt better and others worse, mostly tied to how stressed I was that day.

Do you think maybe the real issue isn’t the sleep stages at all but something like circadian rhythm or how rested you feel because of daytime sleepiness?
