Why does NAD+ booster seem to lower my HRV in the mornings?
#1
I’ve been tracking my HRV for about six months now, and I’ve noticed it’s consistently lower on the mornings after I take my NAD+ booster, which seems completely backwards from what I expected. Has anyone else experienced a paradoxical dip in their heart rate variability from a supplement that’s supposed to support cellular energy and resilience?

I've been tracking HRV too and, after a NAD+ booster, I did notice a morning dip that felt like my system woke up stressed. It lasted a few days and then ebbed, but the drop stuck with me because it wasn’t what I expected from something billed as energy support. I looked at sleep quality, caffeine timing, and how hydrated I was, and the dips still popped up on some mornings.

I did a month-long run with NAD+ and the HRV numbers were all over the place. One week they were higher, then a streak of mornings with lower readings. I chalked it up to noise, or maybe the charger/wrist strap or even the temp in the room messing with the sensor. I didn’t get a clean pattern to trust.

I’m not sure this is a real effect or just random variation. A few people in my circle swear by NAD+ for energy, others say it tweaks sleep. I guess HRV can swing for lots of reasons, so fixating on one variable may be missing the bigger picture.

Do you think the timing of the dose relative to wake time matters, or could the issue be something else like sleep stage?
