Why is Android System Intelligence draining my battery so fast?
#1
My new phone’s battery seems to drain way faster than my old one did, even when I’m not really using it. I checked the battery usage stats and it says a system process called "Android System Intelligence" is near the top, which I don’t remember seeing before.

Yep, mine does the same. New phone, and it’s draining even when I’m not using it. The battery stats put Android System Intelligence near the top, which I don’t remember seeing on my old phone. It feels like the OS is quietly doing a lot in the background, maybe indexing or learning my patterns, and that’s just chewing through juice.

I keep wondering if that process is the real culprit or just a symptom. Could be the OS catching up after an update, not a single app.

I checked the numbers for a couple days and the drain still shows up, but the phone isn’t waking much; it’s odd and makes me doubt what I’m seeing.

Sometimes I drift to thinking it’s a hardware thing, like a battery calibration issue on a new model, but software quirks bite back here too. I’m not sure what to trust, and I’m half expecting it to settle on its own after a few days.
