Why is my car's navigation so aggressive with live traffic reroutes?
#1
I just got a new car and the built-in navigation keeps trying to reroute me off the highway for what it claims is faster traffic, even when the slowdown is clearly just a few cars braking. It feels like it’s overreacting to every little blip on the traffic data, making the trip more stressful, not less. Has anyone else found their system is too aggressive with these live traffic reroutings?

Yeah I notice the same thing. It keeps trying to pull me off the highway for a two minute delay just because a few cars are braking up ahead. It makes the drive more stressful and I end up just sticking to the highway anyway.

I tried a few times to follow it, and it added time anyway. Now I’m just taking it as a suggestion and ignoring most of the prompts until I see a real backup.

It feels overprotective, like every blip becomes a crisis.

Do you think it's the data source or the route algorithm that triggers this?
