Why is my urine stream weak if I might have an enlarged prostate?
#1
I’ve been noticing a weaker stream for a while now, but lately it feels like I really have to strain to empty my bladder completely. My doctor mentioned it could be related to prostate enlargement, but I’m wondering if this is just a normal part of getting older or if it’s something I should be more proactive about investigating.

I’ve noticed the same thing too. The stream feels weaker and I’ve had to strain to finish lately. I finally saw a urologist and they ran a few checks and said there’s mild prostate enlargement. The treatment helped a bit, but it didn’t vanish. It’s still there now and then, and I’m glad I didn’t ignore it.

Do you think this is just aging, or is it worth pushing for tests now?

I put off making an appointment for ages, hoping it would get better. When I did go in, the doctor ran the usual tests and it turned out there was something real behind the symptoms, not just in my head. Not a disaster, but it did change how I think about it.

I tried tracking my fluid intake and caffeine for a week just to see if anything changed, but the pattern stayed stubborn. Then I got distracted by a project at work, and the issue was still there when I came back.
