Why should i switch to a dedicated racing brake setup for street time attack?

There are so many trending tech accessories on the market, but I'm trying to figure out which ones actually add real value versus just being gimmicks. From MagSafe accessories for iPhones to USB-C hubs for laptops, what are you finding most useful?

I'm particularly interested in accessories that work across multiple devices or solve common problems. Things like multi-port chargers, portable monitors, or ergonomic stands. What affordable tech gadgets in the accessory category are actually worth the money?

For those who've tried a lot of different accessories, what are your must-haves and what should people avoid?

So I’ve been running my street car in local time attack for a few seasons now, and I’m starting to feel like the stock brake system just isn’t cutting it anymore as I push harder. I keep hearing about other drivers switching to a dedicated racing brake setup, but I’m honestly wondering if the cost and hassle is really justified for someone who still drives the car to events. Has anyone else gone through this same crossroads?

Yep I hit this crossroads last season and kept the stock brakes longer than I should have the fade on hot laps was real and it shook my confidence

I doubt the math adds up for a street driven car since you still need everyday reliability and the brake gains feel tiny if you are not chasing a full time attack budget

Maybe we should frame the issue around heat management and brake balance not just kit shopping the car will behave differently once the heat path changes

On my side I learned to tune brake bias and cadence rather than chase a new rotor and caliper and that shift saved me money and still kept things usable

Consider a middle path like better pads and rotors with fresh fluid and a modest street friendly kit and test with the same tires you drive on

One driver I respect pointed out that the real limit might be confidence and line choice more than the hardware so you could spend a lot and still feel stuck
